Coming from Sydney I was looking for good coffee. The Watch House in my view makes the best coffee in the area. I rarely drink coffee anywhere else as it generally doesn't compare favourably with the Watch House. The staff are warm and hardworking and they know their customers. The fire just adds to the warmth of the place. Don't change anything Watch House as I will have to move back to Sydney for good coffee.

Beautiful and Charming little coffee shop, with great cakes and slices not to mention their amazing coffee. Friendly and enthusiastic staff members there to help you in any way

The people who work in here are genuinely lovely - like the lovely you get from the people up North - never London. I get lured in here every time I pass and the other day just couldn't resist one of their sandwiches - despite the fact I had all the ingredients two minutes away back at home. The rosemary focaccia is the best I've ever had, with perfectly roasted veg and creamy mozzarella. If you're on Bermondsey Street, bypass the stressful deli, and come here!

I walked in close to closing time Friday and got a nice cauli, spinach, capers and goat cheese salad that comes with dressing (one of two containers left). Whilst it tasted delicious- whoever knew capers and seasoned cauli tasted so good together!- £4 was just too expensive for the portion size. Still, it’s a cute place with a relaxing atmosphere and lots of goodies on display so I would pop by here if in the area again, just wouldn’t make a special trip.

Lovely cafe inside a watch house built in the early 19th century. Sandwiches to die for and a variety of delicious cakes are offered. The chicken chorizo sandwich is my favourite, even though I would say it is a bit pricy. The sitting is limited so bear in mind that you might have to wait for a while. If the weather is nice you can grab a coffee and enjoy it at the small park right next to the coffee shop.

The Watch House had a lovely corner café in Bermondsey Street and they now also have a bigger place in Shad Thames. The food and drink offering is irresistible, and the staff are welcoming and the spaces comfortable. A great example of an independent community-sensitive enterprise.

There isn't a better coffee house than the Watch House! Plum tart to die for, open fire, friendly and welcoming staff AND WAFFLES every night!

delightful and cool and warm - this great cafe could not have been set up better in the little watch house. Coffee is great, food is great, puttting the waffle-on bar in was inspired. really clever seating set up - and the staff are lovely and can't hide it - this cafe works on every level

they make a mean little ristretto, manicure the salad leaves in their sandwiches (yes), and from 5pm turn into a waffle house ! The Watch House gets my vote.

Warm, cozy, lovely coffee, lovely sandwiches and the waffles in the evening are great too. Be it day or evening it's a lovely venue to place to hang out.

Well what can I say, warm, welcoming, cosy, a great place to sit down while enjoying a beautifully made coffee in a very comfortable atmosphere.

Beautiful cosy cafe based in an unique historical watch house building. Amazing Ozone coffee, friendly staff and wonderful cakes. Also a great place to go for a brekafast, lunch or sweet and soury waffles in the evening! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

The coffee wasn't anything to write home about (Ozone coffee, rather nutty and a touch on the bitter side). Although it's a small space, they have managed to fit in a bench along the wall and a few stools. They have also crammed in a large counter full of cakes and other goodies. But a little birdie told me that it is the waffles that are worth the trip here for. I didn't have the stomach space for it this time round but next time those waffles will be mine.
