Tomo Pizzeria & Restaurant

This Italian restaurant and pizza joint on Hornsey High Street is a family affair. Expect, then, an enthusiastic welcome and plenty of passion on both sides of the pass. The menu comprises classic Italian fare, with authentic pizzas – all 23 of them – really looking the part.

The rest of the menu ranges from calamari fritti, bruschetta and insalata di pollo to traditional pasta dishes and plenty of piatti secondis, including pollo Milanese and filetti di branzino - sea bass fillet here topped with a gremolata dressing of garlic, parsley, lemon and olive oil. Desserts include tiramisu, panna cotta and creme bruciata.

Wines and beers are exclusively Italian. Soft drinks include apple juice, cranberry juice and a range of San Pellegrino.

Steak cooked to perfection and delicious. The creamy mustard sauce that steak went with it was amazing. The pannacotta desert was really nice and a great recommendation from the server. Lovely surroundings. First visit but will be back again soon. Thank you.

Superb food; elegantly presented. Liked the specials menu idea and simple wine list. Cheerful and attentive staff without being intrusive. Like the informal atmosphere and decor. Lovely buzzy restaurant. Well worth visiting and would definitely go again

I really enjoyed my evening at Tomo. Delicious, authentic Italian (I am Italian) food served in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine and happy to make recommendations when asked. What made the place a little more special was the focus on sourcing products from Italy. From the furniture to the wine, there certainly is a relaxed Italian feel to the place. Highly recommended and most certainly will be making a return visit very soon.

I think this is one of those rare pizzerias/restaurants with a nice and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy amazing homemade food, with a great service for a very very fair price.

Visited on a Saturday night. It was busy and so it was lively- great atmosphere. Food was lovely and the portion sizes are great. Staff were polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend

We've been semi-regular (no as regular as we'd like!) returning customers of Tomo for a few years now and it's turned into our favourite place to eat in north London.

We've loved anything we've ordered from the menu, from pasta dishes to steaks. The service has always been excellent and we're always made to feel welcome. Would definitely recommend the Gamberoni to start, fantastic sauce!

The restaurant was busy but staff did not rush us to order or vacate our table. We each chose three very different meals and were pleased with our choice. Each meal was well cooked and exceeded expectations. Sadly, only one of us reached the dessert as portions were generous. We would return if in the area again, but do book as this is a popular restaurant.

Reviews online for pizza were promising but the pasta was fantastic too! Cooked to perfection, just enough sauce and attentive staff.

The food is fantastic, the service couldn't be better and it's all for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? This place is one of my favorite italian places to eat in Crouch End.

I took a friend here for dinner after telling her how great it is and had such a fantastic evening. I can confidently say it's the best Italian in the area. I eat out often but I'm always surprised at how good the food is at Tomo, and don't even get me started on service...just great!!!

Every time I go there the food is brilliant. Eva and Adam are such lovely hosts. We moved away from Hornsey 3 years ago but we still go back every now and then because we miss it so much. Great pizza. Great pasta. Reasonable price. Love it.
