An Indonesian restaurant, bringing the street food of south-east Asia to Portobello Road, with the option to eat in or take away. Tuk Tuk heralds its green credentials and offers an apparently healthy alternative to existing take away places, which means no added fats and manageable portion sizes.
Satays are the speciality here – chicken, beef, king prawn or tofu arrive in sticks of three or six and are served up with rice or salad. Dipping sauces include peanut and tamarind, spicy peanut, sweet chilli and ginger and coriander. Food is served on recycled palm tree leaves and all the cutlery, serving plates and packaging is recyclable and biodegradable.
