Restaurants, Spanish Holborn

Time Out says

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.

A Holborn restaurant with a tapas menu and an eclectic mix of music all played on vinyl.

Don't be fooled by the name of this Holborn spot - it's not just about the vinyl. It does, though, play more than a small part - DJs provide the tunes most nights, and they throw the odd party, too.

It's an eclectic playlist, but soulful house tends to reign supreme, providing the soundtrack to a food menu showcasing traditional tapas, mostly. Expect, then, dishes such as patatas bravas, paella, pinchitos de pollo, chorizo rosario and plates of padron peppers.

A short wine list keeps the focus on well-known wine regions, with one of each colour available by the glass. Cocktails such as a jungle boogie (rum, Mandarine Napoleon liqueur, fresh kumquat fruit, orange juice, lime, mint leaves and sugar) do brisk business.

Turntable says
Turntable is a venue playing electric soul, Motown funk, old-school hip hop and R'n'B beats, vinyl-style. Enjoy authentic Spanish tapas courtesy of head chef Paulo da Costa and vibrant cocktails from our resident mixologist Antoine Paichard, all to the smooth sounds of vinyl.
