Expect fine Italian dining from this Fulham-based restaurant, which serves up traditional Tuscan food in a bright, uncluttered interior. The conservatory seating area at the front of the restaurant opens out during the summer months.

The menu keeps things traditional, with signature dishes including white lasagne accompanied by porcini mushroom and truffle, linguine cartuccio, and a hearty seafood fish stew, all inspired by the head chef’s hilly seaside hometown of Marche. There are six varieties of grappa on the drinks menu, plus an extensive wine list.

Vicino says
Established since 1987 Vicino restaurant is one of Parsons Green's longest standing hidden gems serving genuine home-cooked Italian food from the heart in this favourite local neighbourhood restaurant.

Adorned with vintage Italian posters and hanging garlic, Vicino is like the kind of classic rustic trattoria you would find in the heart of Tuscany. Exteriors are adorned with hydrangea in flowerpots and bougainvillaea, which invites locals into an oasis of tranquillity where they can sip one of our large selections of Italian wines over our signature spaghetti carbonara with egg yolk, pancetta, and cream and parmesan cheese sauce.

Our extensive selection of wines offers great accompaniments to the large selection of fresh pasta dishes.

Known all over London for its fresh Billingsgate Market lobster, Vicino customers are loyal friends and locals who have been coming to this restaurant for years, to have Vicino’s delicious linguine con aragosta, vino bianco, aglio e peperoncino which is whole lobster with linguine and white wine sauce with garlic, olive oil and chilli.

I had the good fortune to be invited here for dinner, and I went with high expectations given its celebrity clientele including Hugh Grant (allegedly)! I was treated to several wonderful dishes including one of the best squid ink linguine pastas I've ever had, as well as lobster tagliatelle and a perfectly tender sirloin steak. I checked the menu out expecting to be paying 15 minimum per dish, a £15 that I was in honesty more than happy to pay given the great food, and was delighted to see the majority of their dishes being well under the £15 barrier. Vicino is the local Italian everyone wants in their neighbourhood. It's super fresh, authentic, traditional and with brilliant service that attended to our every need. Especially loved the head waiter who sings and hums to himself as he walks around the restaurant! Honestly, one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in London and worth every penny. The only negative is it's so far out for me!
