Time Out says

The impeccably hip pizza joint – from its stylish tees (available for £15 a pop) down to its American beer selection (Pabst Blue Ribbon and Brooklyn) – is spreading its cheesy tendrils all over the city and that's no bad thing. As well as this Shoreditch base, they have shops in Dalston, Camden and Peckham.

Their 22-inch, New York-style doughy goods are sold by the slice and are truly delicious. Particularly excellent concoctions include the 'Rubenesque' (salt beef, sauerkraut and two kinds of cheese) and 'King Tubby' (fennel, chilli sausage, kale and caramalised onions). You'll need a napkin just for reading the menu, let alone devouring the slices.

We visited for a slice and manager who started very sulky accused my friend of dropping oil nozzle in his pizza and asked us to leave. When we stated that this hadn't happened, she ignored us before saying security would come. It was outrageous. We are very friendly. Sad to say the pizzas were not worthwhile. Cheese slipping off, soft, and not warm enough.

I am in love with this place. The pizza is amazing and the slice is huge! Staff is amazing and friendly. I want more!

If you're serious about your pizza then a visit to Voodoo Ray's is a must. Tucked into Boxpark facing Shoreditch High Street, it operates a one-way route through the eatery which is efficient and leads you to a resting place where you can watch the world go by through large glass windows. There are stools placed along the walls which adds to the very casual drop-in feel of the place. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. There are usually about eight different pizza's to choose from - selecting a slice from the eclectic list of pizza names (e.g. Green + White, Porky's, King Tubby's) is half the fun and the rest comes when you lift the giant slice to your face with two hands.

The ingredients are great quality, meat is super tasty and the vegetarian options are extremely enjoyable too. Voodoo Ray's has set an over-sized bar in pizza pleasure.

I felt like a proper New Yorker here, eating a giant slice of pizza pie, on a stool, in a small white tiled canteen joint. When I heard they do pizza by the slice I was like "Whuuut that will no way be enough for my piggy appetite", but honestly, they are way bigger than expected, and so loaded with tasty toppings you will easily be satisfied by the one. I had the King Tubby, which was a beautiful creation of fennel and chilli sausage, kale, marinated tomato and caramelised onion. Honest to God it was so good I pretty much inhaled it and was so sad when it was gone. My veggie friend was equally thrilled that there were so many vegetarian options, with interesting ingredients for meat no-goers. Needless to say it's so worth a visit, grab a slice of the pizza pie action. Good job Voodoo Ray!

Sitting in the window of Voodoo Rays's Boxpark, people watching and demolishing a Queen Vegan slice of pizza. No better way to spend a bitter cold evening than good pizza, casual atmosphere and a can of beer. Voodoo Ray's is conveniently located on the ground floor of Boxpark underneath Shoreditch Highstreet rail lines. A snug pizza bar full of massive 22" pizzas served by the slice- cheap and cheerful with such a range of pizzas there is one for everyone...(even vegans!). Five stars all round!

Love love love this place and the people, a beautiful family and friends location ❤️

Yes Voodoo Ray's! Get in my mouth! Serving up delicious, freshly cooked pizza slices from a shack next to Shoreditch High St station, it's the perfect place to pop for a gourmet treat on your way home. The slices are big, hot and there are plenty of toppings to choose from. They even have a loyalty card, encouraging you to eat more and more delicious pizza until you essentially turn into one.

Absolutely love this place. Conveniently located in Boxpark, so you can stop by for a slice or two on Friday, which is a gourmet experience, before wandering off to Shoreditch bars. They even have a vegan option, which is so delicious you don’t even notice it doesn’t contain cheese.

Keep up the great work Voodoo Ray's!

On our visit there was a deal on £2.50 a slice (believe this is a real thing every Monday at the Stoke Newington branch) which is insane cheap because technically 1 slice is a big enough meal (we had two each though, because greedy) so even with a drink my delicious dinner, in Shoreditch was £7.40, can you even comprehend that? I'm basically still in shock!

Anyway I'd haver paid ill price it was superb. There is a nice wide range of toppings on offer, as many veggie options are there are meat and the pies come out of the oven even 5 mins or so so they'll always be something very fresh for you to eat. The staff were sweet and fast and we got seats straight away (although for lager groups there is only really outdoor seating, its heated but probably better in the warmer months).

The décor is bright and fun, stalls along the wall and young crowd on their way out- it looks like it looks in NY movies, so thats a nice touch too.

The pizza here is SO GOOD. Like, insanely good. The variety of flavours, the sheer size of the slices, and all for £4.50 too? It's no wonder I pop in whenever I'm in the area. The service is brill too.
