This Great Portland Street branch of Thomasina Miers' chain of Mexican restaurants is one of 13 in London. There are more outside the capital, too. It's another showcase of the MasterChef winner's 'market food', where dishes such as tacos, tostadas and taquitos are served alongside burritos, quesadillas and sides with a Mexican slant.
Drinks are similarly inspired by the markets and cantinas of Mexico. Tequila is prominent, both as a sipping drink and as a key component in cocktails such as the hibiscus mojito and the Wahaca mule. Mezcal and Mexican beers (Corona, Modelo Especial, Negra Modelo and Pacifico Clara) also feature, alongside a wine list with bottles from Spain, Italy, Chile and Australia.
