Truly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. Just thinking about it, I’m salivating.

In short- they specialise in vegan doner kebabs.
But let me explain how amazing they are- they are made of soya chucks, which are perfectly crispy and meaty. They are mixed with veggies, hummus, vegan tzatziki and chilli sauce and combo of all of them is divine and need I say- very messy. Portion is actually huge, so if you aren’t too hungry you could potentially share it… but I doubt you’d want to, because it’s wayyyy too good.

So 'What the Pitta!' has been named best kebab in London... and it lives up to expectations. Fresh doner wraps, kneed and rolled in front of you with a variety homemade sauces. I had a vegan doner and my husband doner and chips, the price is great for the quality and portion you receive. The key to this amazing food is it's freshness and use of homemade everything! I was very impressed with the speed of the food service as What the Pitta had an endless queue... people were happy to wait up to an hour for a doner. I recommend going before 6pm or after 8pm to miss the rush otherwise use a food delivery service if you don't want to queue- what ever you do don't give up as this is an amazing meal not to be missed.

Finally a hungover kebab option for vegans. The serving isn't anything fancy but the portions are huge, and the kebab tastes exactly like the perfect 3am kind; the strips of spiced soya are juicy and give plenty of an umami hit, and they're really generous with the portion. I've also had the salad box - a bit of a lighter option as the wraps can be pretty filling.

Bring an appetite. The wraps here are immense. This isn't the cheapest street food option, as the doner kebabs start at £7.50, but bite for bite you're getting a lot. And the bites are excellent. The vegan doner is perfectly chewy and well-seasoned. And the baklava is as sticky sweet as it should be.
