Originally a Victorian street market, pitches are now under a large canopy. Popular with locals on the look out for plants and fruit, clothes (including giant pants), bed linen and toys.

Not the most glamourous of markets, but it has a soul, East London is true after all. It gives you a sense not much changed here, but like most of London, this area might be soon target of gentrification. It consists of different shops selling everything you can think of, you can find everything from tanning shop to a pie and mash shop.

Needs some love, but going in the right direction. I saw Angela Lansbury open a screening there this summer which was mad. Bumped into the Bite food market recently, which was good - more like that is needed. Can't beat Maureens pie and mash and Steves Best Sellers though!

Chrisp Street has now started a fantastic Street Food Market on the last Friday of every month called 'Bite' from 11 - 3pm which also has live music! The next one is 28th November when the Christmas lights will be switched on!
