Alleyn Park Garden Centre
The boutique-sized Alleyn Park punches well above its weight. Regularly highlighted as one of the UK's finest garden centres by mags and newspapers, it emphasises UK-grown stock from small suppliers. Fruit trees, herbs and herbaceous perennials (some in biodegradable sacks that can be planted straight into the ground) are a key feature, while a gorgeous gift shop also stocks tools and sundries. One its most appealing elements is a shop-in-a-shed that is packed with hand-picked antique, vintage and recycled garden furniture and accessories, from old watering cans, to shabby chic ladders. There's also a car park, local delivery service and lots of expert landscaping knowledge among the enthusiastic staff.

London is losing a bit of its soul every time a garden centre closes down in my view. This imaginative & welcome use of space with friendly staff who know their horticulture is a welcome addition to the area since the E.D. Garden Centre by the station got boarded up.

Every time I go am helped by friendly knowledgeable staff. Beautiful selection of plants, kit and gifts. Great and generous loyalty scheme too. I always leave with what I need and feeling happier than when I went in. A total gem.

Fabulous jewel tucked away - good quality plants and trees, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. A delight!

This truly is a little oasis in the city. A great range of plants and accessories, as well as a lovely vintage shed, stuffed with gorgeous house plants, furniture and pots. Very friendly staff too.
