Audio Gold

A mix of new, second-hand and hireable audio products, Audio Gold is one of the best places in London to track down old-school equipment – from ghetto blasters to gramophones, this store has it covered. The extensive ‘prop hire’ section celebrates all the ‘strange and beautiful’ machines the owners have picked up over the years, which is ideal for the media industry (film shoots or magazine articles especially) looking to set the scene with an original Walkman or a 1980s clock-radio. The list of manufacturers covered includes typical brands (Sony, Toshiba, Denon, Tivoli) but by and large they are names from a realm that’s beyond the high street’s vocabulary: turntables by Linn, speakers by Quad, amps by Sugden and so on. Audio Gold also buys your second-hand equipment – as long as it works, of course.

Best shop in town for stereos, vinyls and the like. Alex, the manager really knows his stuff and is super patient 🤘🏽 Worth a visit

Real quality sounds from a huge range of authentic equipment. Advice and help too! Great.

Classic. A shop that's been there for a long time and should remain there for a long time. A vintage gem.

A true place for Hifi stereo lovers with great attention from the staff and a nice collection of new and second hand records.

My idea of heaven. I want every single thing they sell. Great staff and always worth a look.

I love this place! Great vinyl, lovely staff and a shop dog! What more do you need?

unique, surely ? Great equipment, lovingly restored and polished by hi fi evangelists, whose enthusiasm is infectious, and are always friendly.

This is a great shop, they've always got what i want, and all the guys in there are always so helpful and super passionate! Best shop in London!!

Awesome Hi-Fi & Record shop - been going long before the record revival. Run by experts that really look after their customers.

These guys are amazing. Pop in for friendly advice without any attitude - and maybe even a shot of brandy!

Without doubt the best "high end" Hi Fi shop in London. The staff really know what they are talking about.

Friendly local hifi shop specialising in used but good quality audio equipment.

What a truly amazing Hi-Fi shop, fabulous array of Hi-Fi equipment to suit all budgets and a level of customer service to match.

This is the greatest shop in the world. Hifi and vinyl. And free coffee if you hang around. We worship the sounds you provide and repair. SG

One of london's gems, fabulous new and used hifi stock, knowledgable and amiable staff. Few shops like this left.

Love it ,love it ,love it !!!

This place can help you capture the sound that you've always dreamed about .

A lovely and exotic range of decks and vinyl and amps /speakers .

A Mecca for all things cool .

Love it! A proper Aladdin's Cave, jammed to the rafters with the best of stereo (and some mono) from the 60s to modern. Thousands of LPs, new and old, a huge choice of record decks to buy, and they sorted my ageing turntable very nicely indeed - they even talked me into spending much less on a new cartridge than I'd planned. Worth the trip to Alexandra Palace.

Knowledgeable staff, helpful and supportive, and excellent collection of second-hand vinyl.

The only shop of its kind left in London, a must visit for vintage HiFi, music gear and vinyl records. A real treasure trove.

I can't get enough of this place. The vinyl selection, the fabulous choice of decks, retro and now. Their knowledge and clear passion for what they do is just inspirational. Always love to wander by on a Sunday.

Gold dust! shops like these are the anti-dote to crap mp3 sound and amazon! Real customer care. Just spent 2 hours in there getting very sound advice from Simon, who helped me see that the equipment I already have is good enough for my immediate purposes, and I've started to compile a wish-list from the goodies in the shop, including a new (beautiful secondhand) stereo ...maybe some speakers too...
