Time Out has long sung the praises of Black Truffle, and for good reason. Selling some quirky yet wearable footwear for women and kids, the shop – a lovely space over two levels – has notched up a string of awards. The range of shoes is impressive, with brands such as Roby & Pier, Chie Mihara, Baltarini, Melissa, b store, Repetto and Timeless represented.
The shop also stocks tasteful bags from the likes of Abro, a small range of clothing (that’s especially strong on knitwear) and tasteful accessories (such as Falke tights, Dents gloves, Maniyak hats and affordable jewellery). It may be located on painfully trendy Broadway Market, but the stock here is more safely stylish rather than avant garde, meaning that both designs and materials have longevity.
