A calm, nurturing space with kind staff, specialising in pregnancy products, plus baby equipment, toys and clothes, Born has an organic and fair trade ethos, right down to cotton nappies. Attractions include organic baby clothes (Star range by Kate Goldsmith); toiletries and massage oils by Weleda, Green People and Born Naked (Born’s own brand). Toys are made from renewable materials, products include the attractive Keptin-Jr Organic Comforter, and trendy baby transport systems include the Stokke Xplory buggy, Phil & Ted’s Explorer, Bugaboo and Bee, plus Cameleon and Gecko. There’s plenty of play space for lively tots, and a comfy sofa for breastfeeding. Born’s network of support extends to a weekly mother’s meeting on Mondays, plus parenting and breastfeeding groups.
