Fixed-wheel and single-speed bikes have become essential urban-hipster accessories in recent years, and you’ll find a wide selection at Brick Lane Bikes. The stock includes their own BLB range of pre-built ready to go setups, but the kit that gets die-hards drooling will be hanging above your head: new frames from esteemed Leeds firm Bob Jackson, plus a variety of vintage track and road frames (Cinelli, Leader) in most shapes and sizes, all of which can be built to order. Prices for custombuilds are highish and customer service can range from fairly helpful to crushingly indifferent; it helps to have some idea what you’re after before going in.

This bike shop was recommended by a bicycle enthusiast. I haven't bought a bike in years and consider myself very lucky to have found this shop. The gentleman that helped me took his time to explain the difference between the lower cost bikes and the costlier ones. I was also allowed to test ride the bikes around the block. Highly recommended.
The best little hidden treasure for cycling aficionados and enthusiasts in East London. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
If I could give this shop no stars I would. The owner is rude and arrogant (the staff try and excuse this/pass it off that 'he is not rude just Polish', which is a poor excuse. Overpriced with an extremely high opinion of themselves.
