Knightsbridge Christmas Lights

Brompton Road is already famous for Harrods department store, but now another glitzy spectacle is joining the swanky thoroughfare for Christmas. A brand new Christmas light display will join the thoroughfare for the season. Designed by Blachere Illumination the eco-friendly lights made from aluminium and 3,000 recycled plastic bottles will shine 12,000 low-energy LED bulbs onto the street. The design is inspired by Knightsbridge’s heritage, grand architecture and the nearby Hyde Park Barracks, home to the Household Cavalry – see if you can spot the subtle equestrian details hidden within it. So, next time you’re in that prt of town, look up to see the 14-metre banner hanging from number 37 to Scotch House, casting a a gentle shimmer over the road.

Maison Ghibli

Shopping for the Ghibli fan in your life just got a whole lot easier this Christmas. A pop-up shop is opening up in Knightsbridge from Saturday November 15 til January 11, 2026, and it's teeming with cuddly friends and licensed memorabilia inspired by the anime universe of Japan's Studio Ghibli. You'll find extremely squeezable plushies of classic Hayao Miyazaki characters like Totoro, No-Face from Spirited Away and Jiji from Kiki’s Delivery Service. There are also models and minifigures, plus lots of other covetable merch, including puzzles, stationery and homewares. Finish off your visit by getting a snap at the Totoro photo opportunity in the window.
