Buffy's Beads

This minimalist, airy shop is tucked away on the top floor of the sadly underused Kingly Court shopping centre, and seems only to attract those in the know. Polished gemstone beads, Czech and Swarovski crystals, freshwater mother of pearls, sterling silver findings, and other superior types of beads and pendants are housed in antique drawers; husband and wife team Rosie and Andrew Pollard, who started the business after being frustrated by the shortage of reasonably priced gemstones and freshwater pearl beads available, also sell a hand-picked selection of tiaras, rings, chains and ribbons, as well as jewellery-making tools. Staff are all jewellery-makers themselves, and are on hand to offer friendly, informative service.
