A heavenly new London flagship for the Parisian luxury house – which replaces its pokier former home on Old Bond Street. Predictably, the eminently tasteful brand have devised a store befitting their global style status, with three floors of pure class, peppered with 20 commissioned artworks. The breathtaking twisted pearl necklace sculpture byJean-Michel Othonie and  lusicrously opulent Swarovski deer by Marc Swanson are fittingly fabulous eyecandy in a store selling the most beautiful clothes on the street. When the street is New Bond Street, that’s saying something.

Prepare to get lost in luxury as this is one impressive Chanel store! The flagship boutique is on New Bond Street is much bigger and impressive than its predecessor (I mean, previously a cupboard, now gigantic in comparison) so it's generally quite busy but there are also plenty of staff. It's pretty good for browsing but if you do want to make a considered purchase and spend some time away from the crowds, consider the Chanel boutique at Brompton Cross. This store has seemingly every bag in every colour in every size, so you know you are in the right place if you want to check out ALL the options. It can be quite overwhelming, with the sheer scale, and the doormen/security vetting you on the way in, but just enjoy it. Get up close and personal with beautiful pieces and then make sure you spend time in the surrounding areas too. It's well worth a good look around the other designer boutiques on New Bond Street before a trip south to Fortnum and Mason or head north via Victoria's Secret and stroll around Oxford Street.
