Charlotte Taylor

Charlotte Taylor has rocketed from a fledgling Central Saint Martin's graduate (launching her own label in 2009) to a celebrated designer able to open her own boutique and atelier in a smart corner of Chelsea in 2013. Her rise is understandable: her playful, unusual and wearable collections appeal to the type of person who can rock a mustard coloured midi-skirt printed with green penguins, as well as those who like to mix simple patterned pieces into plain outfits. From zebras and rams, to Indian-influenced marble and vintage circus-inspired characters, her prints are just half the appeal: modest dresses, cute capri pants, silky blouses and quilted jackets make up her brief collections. Her Sloane Square store offers a sleek and minimalist backdrop for rails of colourful clothes, while Charlotte Taylor herself is often found on the floor below planning her next print and cut from the in-store studio and workshop.
