Nestled just moments away from London’s craziest shopping thoroughfare, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the ambience at ColourNation might be a little, well, manic. Thankfully, though, the spacious salon is a welcome escape from the scrum of Oxford Circus.
As you’d probably guess, colour is the salon’s calling card. Whether you’re a hair-colour virgin or a seasoned peroxide devotee, you’ll get a reassuringly thorough consultation before you commit. For those who’ve suffered dodgy dye jobs, there’s top quality colour correction on offer (prices start from £121, and will vary from case to case).
The styling services are pretty sharp, too. Blow-dries start at £24, or £31 with a treatment – for dried out, styled out hair, we’d recommend the deep conditioning Macadamia Oil. The best bit? While we were childishly impressed by the reclining massage chairs, what really made the visit was the service. The staff are genuinely friendly, rather than just going for a ‘chat-by-numbers’ approach, so you’ll leave with a smile on your face as well as a swish-worthy mane.
