If you’re into organic and sustainable food, this Saturday market is a must-visit.
Crystal Palace Food Market has impeccable green credentials, championing local and sustainable produce wherever possible. Since launching in 2012, this not-for-profit Saturday market has attracted a loyal band of south Londoners who come weekly for fresh fish from award-winning Veasey & Sons, biodynamic fruit and veg from Brockman’s Farm in Kent, local honey from Croydon and Bromley, and lots, lots more. Open from 10am-3pm, this is a market with a real community feel: the managers support local artists, businesses and buskers and all profits go to Crystal Palace’s Patchwork Farm and other good causes. Once you’ve filled up your tote bags, you can take a breather at the cute on-site café. Nick Levine

It's tough to choose a best of in this category, but this Food Market has changed the fabric of the whole neighbourhood for the better, so it gets top billing. (Next up would be Good Taste Food and Drink, for me, BTW. Also a real local asset).
It is a proper food market with great selection of quality food at the right price! Lovely friendly vibe with smiling team of traders and market organizers
The most exciting place to spend your Saturday. The market has something new or different to offer each week and that's because the organisers (Karen Jones & Laura Marchant-Short) work tirelessly with the community and local producers to ensure everyone is part of the market. There's music, crafts, fun for children, exciting new traders, much-loved regular stall holders and so much more. Also, they've worked out the perfect balance of stalls to where you can both do pretty much your whole weekly shop and grab your lunch there while you stock up.
It's where we source local produce to cook at La Petite Bouchée. If it wasn't for CPFM we would not have met our fishmonger. Our story would be very different. The variety, diversity and mix of stalls is worthy of an award especially of its own and we count ourselves very lucky to have this amazing market at the heart of our community.
A fantastic food market. A great community feel - with local stalls selling produce and products made in Crystal Palace and the surrounding area.
Love this market! It has a close community feel and brings vibrancy to the local area albeit only on Saturdays. Great choice of bread, fish, meat as well as the vast array of foodstuffs from cake to pasta. Well done!
