Deptford Bites at Deptford Market Yard is a really cute set up and there is a great selection of authentic cuisines.  We tried a couple of the options and were impressed by both Mama Jerks (there had the most amazing oven for their chicken wings) and Crepe Kings (OMG!).  There is also a small flea market nearby why you may be able to pick up some great bargains.  I'll definitely be going again!

I've got a lotta love for this newish part of Deptford. It gives the whole area a sense of centre that it was lacking before and I really enjoy a wander around the stalls on a Saturday and the shops that surround it more permanently. There is often live music on a Saturday and it's a nice place to kick back and chill in the sun with some food and drink in hand.

Particular favourites include Forest (the plant shop of your Instagram dreams) and I enjoyed Taproom as well which is a permanent craft beer fixture in the back far corner from the station. Little Nan's is also fun for a cocktail on an evening.

Go Deptford. Yassssss!

I rarely go down the river, but constantly hearing raving reviews of the Deptford Yard I finally made my way down south. Let’s start with the fact that the market is small. If you use Instagram as a guide to build the anticipation, you might be disappointed as the vendors either rotate or some were on holidays. All food at the stalls looked seriously appetising, it was hard to decide which one to got for. I tried matcha crepe with match ice-cream from Crepe Kind and it was perfect snack for a sunny day. Not too sweet, not too heavy, just great first encounter with the market. Apart from food stalls, cafes and bars (look out for the quirky Na's cocktail bar!), there’s live music and two awesome plant shops, good enough reasons to spend a Saturday afternoon in some lessen known part of London.

Wow! what a change! I love this area- it has so many bars, cafes and eclectic stores for plants, garments and more! on a sunny day I would love to just walk around the area popping into pubs, eat pizza, drink coffee and most likely take a plant home with me. Soon to launch a Saturday Market- keep an eye on this space it is very much up and coming.

Depford is changing; but luckily for good and without losing its charm. The railway arches of Deptford station are now being a host for several local creative businesses. You find the coffee shop called Mouse Tail; Mama’s Jerk; a hot dog and ice cream cafe - Popdogs; and Little Nan’s cocktail bar. It's a vibrant and quirky but its also Depford style and this is why I love it:)
