Disney pop-up boutique, Harrods
Pink, sparkly and a girly haven, the new Harrods Disney pop-up shop, complete with Princess Parlour, has opened on the fourth floor. The 7,000 sq ft space includes a special dress-up area decked with every princess outfit going from Snow White onwards, plus there's a Cinderella Slipper salon with dazzling limited edition shoes in baby to mum sizes, from £24.95. It's not all glitter and mini-gladrags, for boys there's a special Disney/Pixar corner with plenty of Toy Story and Cars toys, accessories and costumes including the ever-popular Buzz Lightyears outfit. Helpfully, there's an 'Activity Zone' for when inevitable tantrum time kicks-in. We admit it's not doing much for gender-stereotyping (look away Pinkstinks) but we can bet it will make your five year old's week.

Bringing that perfect extra bit of disney magic to the UK. Helping turn your little princess (or prince) into a real life disney dream. Excellent idea for birthdays, treats or an amazing Christmas surprise!!! A definite visit for any disney fan- who says you have to grow up?!

The description above implies that there is more to this than shopping. There's not. The dress up area is linked to a professional photography stand where it's £20 for a mini portrait of ONE child only and for a pair it costs £50. The activity zone is about 5 tables with some colouring pencils. On the plus side if you've got money to spend on Disney then this is the place, they have a ton of stuff not in the normal Disney shops an it is laid out beautifully with life size plastic models of the princesses. The best thing is the shop front windows - they have had top designers fit the princesses, think pocohontis by cavalli and a louboutin glass slipper! Worth the visit to see the windows but don't go inside unless you want to spend some cash.

What a wonderful treat! Staff were fantastic, really making the experience of the trip. The Cinderella slippers are to dIe for and so reasonably priced. 100% recommended!!
