I was brought up on the Wendover Estate and our market is East Street Market great market and great bargains you can get from the market. We moved from London to live in the country and its nice in the country but I do miss East Street Market where we have moved to there is no market and when you are used to having everything on your door step it is hard when you do not have it any more.

Quite possibly the last ungentrified market in London. East Street is an old school market selling cheap shoes, birthday cards, dried name it, they have it from Tuesday to Sunday.

This isn’t your typical London vintage market, well it’s vintage in that the stuff for sale is circa 1980 but don’t expect it served with a side of hipster.  Great if what you’re actually looking for is a second hand microwave, some battered shoes, or an African print bedspread.  It’s a real market in real London.  You can keep your Columbia Roads and Spitalfields, I like mine served with a 50p naan on the side.
