Time Out says

Pull on your blackest polo neck and dust off your beret: Central Saint Martins’ Fashion in Film Festival is returning for its fourth outing. As niche as ever, this year’s season of talks and screenings focuses on the work of Marcel L’Herbier – a French avant-garde filmmaker who pioneered an immersive cinematic language, working with architects, artists and, of course, costume designers to create visually striking film. Little known in the UK, L’Herbier is being given a long overdue retrospective: highlights include a showing his 1928 movie ‘L’Argent’ with a live musical accompaniment at the BFI, as well as a screening of 1924’s ‘L’Inhumaine’ at the Barbican.
