The tinsel may be on it’s way out, but that's no reason to give in to January blues. Sure, you might have dished out a small fortune on gifts over the Christmas period, but you know what? It’s a new year – and a great time to have a little spend-up all for yourself.

If you've never stopped by Brent Cross shopping centre before, then you're in for a treat. Not only is there an enticing selection of stores, but the north-west London hub is going big on its January sale. So, naturally, we’ve pulled together just a few of the reasons why you might want to get involved. Wallet, ready.

There are some excellent new stores to see

A whole bunch of great new arrivals hit Brent Cross just before Christmas, and they’re rolling out the welcome mat for you in Jan. Our picks? UK lifestyle brand Fat Face, fashion icons MANGO and Khaadi – a very popular Pakistani womenswear brand. Plus there’s a brand new branch of toy retailer The Entertainer, just in case you wanna let your inner child loose. (Listen, kids get to play with really cool gadgets these days, you know...)

And those that have been there a while are pretty good, too

Well, with 120 shops featuring more than 2,000 leading and designer brands, there‘s not a lot you can’t find here. From fashion giants such as Hugo Boss, AllSaints, Reiss and Zara to Anthropologie, Kiehl’s, Fenwick, Swarovski and Apple, there’s all your high-quality shopping needs in one handy place. There’s even a Tesla showroom, should you be in the market for one of Elon Musk’s marvellous motors.

There’s loads of great food

It’ll work up an appetite, bagging bargains. The good thing is that Brent Cross has 25 (yep, count ‘em) places to eat. Fancy a juicy burger? Head to Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Quality Italian fare more your thing? Give Carluccio’s a go. Or maybe you’re into Japanese? There’s a Wagamama or Yo! Sushi for that. Throw in Nando’s, Pizza Express, Leon and Lola’s Cupcakes and you’re pretty much set for an excellent feed.

Oh and the sales, of course...

Most shops will be dishing out the bargains in January, but we thought it might be a good idea to highlight a few of our faves. Reiss, Khaadi, Miss Selfridge and Accessorize are all offering up to 50 percent off, while L.K. Bennett are really going for it, with up to 70% off threads. Plus there are reductions from Boss, Charles Tyrwhitt, Fenwick, Aldo and Schuh. So keep those peepers peeled for some serious value, people.
