The smoking ban hasn’t stopped business from booming at G Smith & Sons, a traditional-looking stalwart of Charing Cross Road. Established in 1869, it was the first licensed tobacconist on this strip and its site can legally only house a tobacconist. The walk-in humidor will take your breath away, holding a plethora of cigars, including the Carlos Torano, Café Royale, George IV and La Invicta brands plus Puros Indios and Te-Amo lines and the more familiar Montecristos. Pipe and roll-your-own smokers can choose from 50 blends of loose tobacco; beautifully packaged tins of snuff are also sold.
