Jo Lawbuary and Purnendu Roy source goods from local co-operatives and small-scale producers in India, Bangladesh and beyond, to ensure every item in their store is fairly traded. There’s a good selection of Fairtrade and recycled homewares (organic bedlinen; embroidered cushions from Bangladesh; lamps and colanders made from recycled tin; disposable leaf plates made from sali leaves from forests in India), as well as wallhangings and clothes and accessories, including attractive silk scarves, camel-wool hats, baby alpaca gloves, and a range of bags from cotton, leather and recycled rice sacks.

The shop is beautiful, so are its collections which are sourced directly from artisans located in South Asian countries. The owner cum manager is a very friendly person and it was a great evening that we spent there.
This is a lovely shop full of interesting things all with good background stories. I love all the textures and colours - it is bright and cheery at all times of the year.
Great people, great fair-trade and unique products. A great place to buy gifts and support independent.
Ganesha is a delightful shop, with beautiful objects, accessories, fabrics, and homewares carefully and thoughtfully sourced (all are fair trade). We've bought beautiful tablecloths (some that my mother made into gorgeous bedroom curtains) and cushion covers here.
This really is a fantastic little shop that brings the Indian subcontinent and beyond to the South Bank. Knowledgeable and dedicated owners and a brilliant range of gifts and practical items.
Intriguing ecclectic collection of fairly traded goods. Good quality. Lovely friendly lady who recognised the scarf (upcycled vintage silk sari) that I bought there a year ago...how's that for customer care?
Love this independant ethical and echo shop for its gorgeous gift ideas, or a treat for yourself! Staff are friendly, easy going and so helpful. A gem in the heart of London! (^,^)
This is a wonderful fair trade shop that transforms lives and offers lovely products that are affordable. The staff are friendly and hard working for a great cause
Beautifully laid out shop with fascinating hand made objects, useful, practical or just aesthetically pleasing. And all for a good cause.
They have a brilliant ethic combined with a superb eye for detail and quality and they help the most marginalised people in a very real way. Everything Good!
My favorite shop in London. This shop has a great selection of up-cycled products and each product tells a story. From their website, I found that most of the products are made by women from cooperatives from the unprivileged backgrounds, which gives them income and skills. The owners of this shop are great supporters of women cooperatives. Ganesha has offers also awesome collection of beautiful handwoven & embroidered scarves, great quality.
I represent Motif - one of Ganesha's Fair Trade suppliers from Bangladesh. Since our first order in 1999 Jo and Purnendu personify Fair Trade's commitment to building long term relationships. They hold that standard high and really deserve commending for that ... and so much more in the Fair Trade movement!
Great Fairtrade gifts. Plenty of variety and things I haven't seen anywhere else.
A shop not to be missed if you want some fabulous Christmas presents.
Ganesha always have something new. And the regular customers love their soaps. Fab bags and trolleys.
Look in the jewellery cabinet and find something for yourself or a friend.
Great little shop full of unusual and well sourced goodies. Well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed.
Ganesha is full of beautiful things for the home. They have a huge range of scarves and accessories and to make it even better it is ethically sourced
Love this shop - full of unique items unavailable elsewhere, all fair-trade productions sourced mostly from south Asia. Love the bollywood soundtrack they play and the CDs available, great postcards too. And the staff are wonderful - it's a small family business and the owners care about their ethical values and their staff and research and source everything personally. Great place! Great products!
Beautiful fair trade goods from all over the world. Specialist in Bollywood inspired items and some very unusual things you do not see anywhere else in london. A mecca for the ethically minded.
