Headmasters is a fairly widespread chain of hairdressers, but don’t let that put you off. The Mayfair branch does a great cut and blow dry, and there’s a free loyalty scheme that gets you 25 per cent off all services Monday to Friday before 4pm. If you’re not particular about which stylist serves you, then go for an excellent-value last-minute appointment: book after 6pm the day before your visit, or walk in, and a cut/blow dry is just £18 for men and £25 for women. I visited the salon on Thursday, showing few pictures of the styles/colours I liked. I really enjoyed the experience and the fact that it took 6 hours! to do my hair did not even bother me. However, the following day I realised that the hair was very...white. It definitely was not the ash tone which I was hoping for. Additionally, I realised that I had stripes around my head but again, I liked the experience and the hairdresser I went to see was so nice that I felt uncomfortable complaining. Well, it was a completely different story when I went back today. I asked for the stripes to be fixed and for couple darker highlights to be added as I felt that there were just blocks of colour. The Manager has asked me to show her the picture which I came with and concluded that my hair looked exactly like the picture I was showing but as the hair in the picture was curly, I was unable to see the blocks of white. Well, I do not wear my hair curly so clearly that is a problem for me. I did not even think about that because blocks of colour is just not what you want, I wanted it to look pretty straight or curly. The Manager has then started attacking me saying that out of principle she is going to charge me again and accusing me of just enjoying being difficult. I have never been treated like this. Adding couple extra highlights would have taken her few minutes but because of the way she spoke to me, I have left the salon shaking with tears in my eyes. I now have to go somewhere else to have the stripes and the blocks of white fixed and that is after me paying £180 for the service!!! Headmaster chain states on their website that they have existed for 35 years and praising their excellence. Well, if I can advice you to do something, that would be to go elsewhere! I am absolutely speechless! I really did not expect that from a salon in prime location!
One of my worst haircut ever. Went back there a few days later because the hairdresser Chris forgot to do the neck. One of the assistant they took for the Christmas period has not been able to do the neck properly. The beard trimmer ran out of power. He was blowing out on my neck to remove the hair.
