Time Out says

When you roll out of bed with a hangover, Herne Hill provides the perfect pick-me-up. Join the bleary-eyed locals who flock to this strip of stalls lining the pedestrianised street outside Herne Hill station, and grab cheapish restorative treats from crepes to curries. The vibe is chilled-out, gastronomic window-shopping – for as long as your rumbling stomach can hold out, anyway. Visit the charming Frenchman who asks, ‘are you ready for tartiflette?’ (the answer should be ‘oui’). Grab a coffee from Wish’s little outdoor machine, by the bike repair stall, or a spicy sausage from Cannon & Cannon – but be quick, though, as ravenous south Londoners tend to gobble up the best stuff by early afternoon. There are also stalls selling crafts, bric-a-brac and vintage clothes, offering style as well as sustenance.
