Online hip culture mag HUH launched its first store in late 2011, selling a selection of its favourite sartorial items. The selection is reliably good, if a little safe: Armor-Lux striped tops, Herschel satchels and Carharrt chinos for the boys, and Swedish Hasbeens clogs, Cheap Monday skinnies and WeSc jumpsuits for the girls. There’s also Happy Socks and fresh coffee for everyone. It might be an obvious formula, but at this end of east London it’s hard to find anything except vintage retailers or pound shops to spend your fashion budget on. This small, minamalist, Scandinavian-style store strikes the right note between ‘effortlessly cool’ and ‘trying waaay too hard’and is a refreshing addition to the area.

Venue name: HUH

I've lived in the Dalston area for over 10 years now and it's really great to see stores like this popping up. Polite and helpful staff too. A welcome addition to N16!

One of the nicest little boutiques I've visited. Nice to have something decent north of Shoreditch.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great home knit scarves. I have shopped for great presents for friends and family here. Good cup of coffee and good looking shop also a plus.

Do not come here expecting anything but a condescending pout from shop assistants who are the last to welcome you, or assist in your shopping experience. Nice clothes, staff need to remember they're being paid to help the CUSTOMER.
