Time Out says

Teaming up for the first time, the British Council and the British Fashion Council have used their collective power to present the International Fashion Showcase. Together, they've convinced 19 embassies and cultural institutes across London to open their doors and display the work of over 80 international and emerging designers. Celebrating the Olympics and Paralympics, the event sees participating countries, including Estonia, Romania, Uzbekistan and Nigeria, showcase a selection of emerging designers who best represent the future of fashion in their country. Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent and Contributing Editor to US Vogue, will chair an advisory panel that will judge each piece of work, awarding the country with the best emerging fashion talent with a prize (to be announced on Sunday February 19). This event is held in various venues around the capital, see www.backoftheenvelope.britishcouncil.org or www.britishfashioncouncil.com/internationalfashionshowcase for more details.
