Marylebone’s Chiltern Street is the central London outpost of the original Southall shop that was opened over 25 years ago by Harjit Singh Shah. His original intention was to apply high-class Western technology to Indian instruments while maintaining traditional standards, and those impressed with the success of this enterprise have included Jimmy Page, Talvin Singh, John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain and David Gray. As well as stocking tablas, dhols, harmoniums, tanpuris and sitars, the shop offers a repair service and a host of accessories, instrument bags, music and books. Prices are surprisingly inexpensive compared to most Western musician instruments.

Awesome service from Jas Musicals! These guys really went out of their way to ship me the electronic veena I ordered, I suspect at considerable additional costs to themselves. The only one they had in stock was broken, so they went to India to get a new one---a much newer one---and sent it to me for the original asking price. This whole process took a while, (I ordered Nov 2013 and received the product in March 2014) , but it was worth the wait. It's a stunningly beautiful veena, carefully and thoroughly packed, and shipped by Fed Ex, which made the delivery simple. Thank you so much for your troubles, Jas Musicals. I love my new veena and look forward to ordering with you again soon. Especially big thanks to Kiran at Jas Musicals for being so helpful.
Dear Jas, I have now received the replacement drum, and I am very happy that it is in perfect condition. The skins are fine and the shell is in one beautiful piece. Thank you. Kind Regards, Daniel White email@example.com Isreal
