With its classic lines, simply cut separates and luxurious fabrics, Jigsaw feels every inch the grown-up of high street fashion; and after keeping something of a low profile in the early noughties, it’s now back on the radars of the capital’s style-conscious thirtysomethings. While designs seem to vary little from season to season, there’s the occasional on-trend surprise, with jackets and dresses a strong point. But Jigsaw is really more about the quality of the materials rather than the edginess of the cuts – with tweed, merino wool, cashmere and silky cottons often appearing, in earthy, tasteful tones. Accessories are a highlight, with a good range of sunglasses, belts, scarves and soft leather bags, shoes and boots.
