The original Modfather – of fashion at least – John Simons celebrated 60 years in the business this summer (2015). Back in the swinging decade a 15-year-old Simons began taloring suits for family friends under the name Far Out Tailoring, and by 1969 he had his first shop. In the following decades the pioneering gent brought America's Ivy League suited-and-booted look to London and even named the Harrington jacket (after fictional character Rodney Harrington). Today you can still get these distinctive looks in Simons store, which stocks authentic vintage clothes, as well as the eponymous John Simons Apparel.
