Located a stone’s throw from Waterloo station, this growing market has a fantastic array of street food stalls.

After starting in 2013 as a string of street food stands, Lower Marsh Market in Waterloo has expanded into a more varied shopping destination that also sells crafts, plants and general bric-à-brac. Food is still the focus on weekdays, when there’s almost always a lunchtime rush, while Saturdays bring the most eclectic range of goods and produce. On the third Saturday of every month, immerse yourself in this historic market street’s vintage vibes when the Waterloo Classics Car Show rolls in. Nick Levine

Tastemaker

Was there on a Saturday mid morning but there were hardly any stalls and I didn't even realise it was a real market until I saw the sign.

Tastemaker

All these so-called international food traders are not there Saturday. Was literally there yesterday and there werrr just a few stalls, mostly people selling clothing and crafts.

Lower marsh market works hard for the local traders and make sure the area is always busy with amazing foods and events! The people's market for sure!

Street food from every corner of the globe and run by great people mean that no matter how many times I forget to bring lunch, there'll always be something new to sample.

Danny and his crew are superb. I hope this lovely little market continues to grow and serve the local community as well as they do now. Well done! Robert

I stumbled across this small market last Saturday and what a pleasant surprise it was. With lovely stalls and a few nice places to have a coffee or eat, it was so chilled out, lovely.
