The ethos behind Mallon & Taub is to ‘dress the eyes and have fun doing so’, and Joan Mallon and Shanah Taub have made every effort to deliver. The philosophy seems to be echoed in the boutique’s stylish interior: slate floors, weekly fresh flowers, and friendly and knowledgeable staff to talk customers through eye-care issues as well as new developments – new high-tech varifocals, perhaps, or glasses geared for high-energy sport. Specs on offer include all the main brands including Oliver Peoples, Alain Mikli and Cutler & Gross as well as Booth & Bruce, Maui Jim, Fred and Robert Marc. There’s also a nice range of sunglasses.

Groovy frames, fab friendly service- everyone is very knowledgable and helpful.
Always a delight to visit!

Fantastic! The best optical store in London. The selection of frames is super-cool and the service very professional. Very nice atmosphere in a well designed boutique. Definitely recommended!

Very poor service. Glasses great but the staff are so arrogant and snooty. They made me feel like scum. Looks like the other reviews had a much better experience. I have now been twice to the shop and have left twice because they have been so unhelpful.

This is the best glasses shop in London for it's range of stock and its skilled staff. I have bought 2 x sunglasses and 2 glasses here in the past 5 years. You just walk into any of the staff and ask them to pick out what they think suits you. I suspect Mailmanlondon must be from a rival shop, from his nasty comments below !!!

I think the previous comment was too unfair. I have bought glasses on Mallon+Taub twice. They have probably one of the most amazing range of glasses in London, not tacky 'designer' brands. These opticians are very knowledgeable and they will suggest the best options for your face shape and taste. Customer service was great and they did not stressed me out to decide which one to buy.
