My Favourite Shoe

Westfield London and the Northampton Museum & Art Gallery are hosting an exhibition dedicated to our favourite accessory: yes, the shoe. Nothing beats it as the ultimate statement item. Appropriately called, 'My Favourite Shoe', the show will focus on vintage shoes and how they relate to modern footwear - in particular the influence they have on contemporary designers. British designers featured include Atalanta Weller, Camilla Skovgaard, Joanne Stoker, Mr. Hare, and Sophie Cox. They have all selected their 'favourite shoe' from the Northampton Museum and showcased it alongside a shoe from their current collection. Funded by Arts Council England, the show aims to raise awareness for Northampton's heritage shoe collection by taking the footgear out of context. Where next, we wonder?
