Opening Ceremony pop-up

Time Out says

If you are one of the many fashion fans whose first port of call when they reach New York, Los Angeles or Tokyo is the Opening Ceremony store, then this summer Covent Garden will be seeing a lot more of you (and your wallet), as Carol Lim and Humberto Leon open first a pop-up store, then a permanent one on King Street, a handsome avenue just off the market.

The two founders, who met in San Francisco as students, set up Opening Ceremony as a New York boutique, selling cool, exclusive labels they had discovered on their travels to Asia. Such was their eye for an edgy brand, the store immediately became a pilgrimage site for rabid fashion fans. Opening Ceremony's own label followed, and grew as quickly as their fanbase – a group that includes impossibly cool New Yorkers Chloë Sevigny (who has designed four collections with them), Spike Jonze and Jason Schwartzman. The pop up will house fun, special products before the brand opens its first permanent store. Opening Ceremony have created special products for the pop-up with Chloë Sevigny, Norma Kamali, Proenza Schouler, Christopher Kane, Band of Outsiders, Delfina Delettrez and many other collaborators. Set over two floors, with fun merchandising and goods only found in London, it will be the capital's coolest shopping spot this summer- that is until the brand's first permanent London flagship opens next door.
