A gorgeous boutique on Islington’s Camden Passage, with almost everything – chocolates, brownies, cakes, ice-cream – made in the downstairs kitchen and finished in front of customers. Young is a respected pâtissier as well as chocolatier and has an astute chef’s palate for flavour-combining.

Valrhona and Amedei are his favoured couvertures, which he combines in different blends and origins to match his other ingredients. Even in summer there are plenty of temptations, such as Pimm’s cocktail truffles featuring cucumber, strawberry and mint flavours, and white chocolate blondies made with raspberries and blueberries. The shop is a first port-of-call for Valentines Day and Mothers Day gifts.

Excellent chocolate in a beautiful shop! Great, professional staff with a lot of knowledge about the products.

This place is brilliant. The best chocolate, incredible flavours and beautiful hand made praline and truffles. They even do masterclasses and chocolate courses. One of my favourite shops in London.

Truly beautiful creations. Best salted caramelt-in-the-mouth runny centre chocolate you'll ever taste.

World famous chocalate, I've been told Paul invented salted caramel, he used to do tasting classes at the Upper St branch, not sure he still does but I always buy some choccies for my wife at Christmas

Staff are unfalteringly friendly in here and the chocolate is second to none - I often pop in for a single sea salted caramel truffle when I'm in the area. And the DIY proper hot chocolate, where you can add your own mix of the spices provided. In the lead up to Christmas they do jars of double-boiled sea salted caramel which makes for a good gift (the double-boiling means it has a longer shelf life).
