Designer Paul Smith is collaborating with community-focused Nottingham-based record shop the Music Exchange and has invited them to launch a pop-up in his Covent Garden Floral Street shop. A double set of decks will play vinyl from an ‘80s themed playlist and to celebrate the collaboration, Nottinghamshire-born Smith has designed a limited edition T-shirt that will be sold exclusively at the Floral Street branch. All proceeds from vinyl sales and half of all t-shirt proceeds will go to the Music Exchange, a store which helps local homeless volunteers gain valuable retail training and a foot on the career ladder.
Paul Smith himself will be popping into the store Fri June 21 between 4.30pm and 5pm and members of the public are welcome to pop in and say hello.
