This gorgeous little place was opened by Kamilla Thorsen and Rachel Entwistle, two jewellery designers with a shared passion for immortalising insect life in gold and silver. Pendant necklaces of dangling animals are ten-a-penny at the moment, but these two produce really beautiful necklaces, earrings and bracelets that are somehow strikingly different from the rest of the jewellery zoo, and priced very fairly considering the location of this little boutique, just behind Shoreditch House and the burgeoning style quarter that surrounds it. Thorsen’s delicate chain necklaces with Plexiglass butterflies come at £25-£35, while Rachel Entwistle’s dark beetle pendants and spidery necklaces cater for the more macabre tastes in the same price bracket. It’s very refreshing to see striking, wearable new accessories from designers who price their wares so democratically.
Rachel’s designs have been featured in Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Dazed & Confused and Marie Claire amongst many other style pubications. She counts Keira Knightley, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes and Russell Brand as private customers and her designs have been spotted widely on the likes of Rita Ora and FKA twigs.
