Hackney dwellers may be familiar with the quaint boutique Broadway Market salon Good Old Days, which has been preening local barnets since opening in 2010. However, though it may not be obvious from the outside, it's now been fully taken over by former part-owner and hair don Corrado, who has rebranded it as his second stylish Radio salon.
Similar to its bigger sister on Redchurch Street, Radio Broadway Market is a chic space with minimalist styling, hip art, flowing glasses of prosecco, a great range of Bumble and Bumble products and a team of experienced stylists moving between the two locations.
Don't be fooled by the fashionable interior, though – unlike lots of east London joints, this salon isn't style over substance. Corrado runs a tight ship and whether you go for cut, colour, up-dos or a blow dry, you'll be in good hands. And should you be feeling out of place among the trendy Broadway Market dwellers and are looking for a revamp, this could be just the spot.

Good trim and nice customer service from staff present. No issues at all. Very well located and chilled environment. Overall the teams I've met at the Radio Hair Salon(s) have been lovely and they do a great job.
I've had an amazing Balayage with Louise and a cut with Giovanni yesterday. I received so many compliments from my work colleagues and family! My usual lady I used to see moved overseas, and I was very nervous about trying out a new place after so many years, but the staff at Radio made me feel very welcome and at ease with everything. I'll definitely return soon!
Worst hair cut ever. Kirsten? Kirsten? Anyway, the stuck up broad who cut my hair, severed two years worth of growth, the top is longer than the underneath and she was somehow trying to minimise my curls by calling them waves. I tried to be assertive but the condescending stylist insisted that this butchery was the 'best thing to do'.
I used to see Ashley here when it was the Good Old Days. Oh how I miss the good old days now. Terrible service.
