January 2025: Revere the Residence’s physical store has permanently closed. You can still shop for its wonderfully unique homewares online, while it hopes to launch a new programme of art workshops and socials for young people with learning difficulties soon.
This social enterprise on Stokey high street sells nifty homewares and one-of-a-kind artworks created by local young people with learning disabilities. Founder Kate Revere launched Revere the Residence just before lockdown, wanting to build homeware and lifestyle shop in the centre of Hackney. Inspired by her creative eldest daughter Piper who has learning disabilities and autism, she aims to sell products that have a creative focus and bespoke feel.
Arty stuff, basically. There's posters, postcards, babygrows, ceramics, hats, and stickers all on sale. Everything has a personal touch, too.
