Time Out says

Ever felt guilty because buying new threads wasn’t helping out the Black Rhinos or Asian elephants? Well, guilt no more as at the East End Thrift Store plans to hold another fill-a-bag event and donate fifteen percent of its profits to www.actforwildlife.org.uk. Even better, in return for helping these Indian mega-herbivores, you can nab yourself some quirky retro clothes. Buy a £10 bag and stuff as many cosy fleecies, stylish dungarees and ‘70s bomber jackets as you can handle in there. The first ten through the door will get a free £20 sack to fill up with fabric goodies and the next ten will get a £20 sack for a tenner.

Unit 1A Assembly Passage,  E1 4UT (020 7243 9700, www.theeastendthriftstore.com) Stepney Green tube. 11am-6pm daily.
