The Charcoal Coconut soft serve is where it's at! It's a strange colour to have on ice cream but it tastes oh so good! It had an authentic taste of coconut and I loved how it didn't melt fast, even on a hot day. The waffle cone was also quite special as it was sweeter than normal and super crunchy even after the soft serve was filled from the bottom up. It's a good size to have individually or to share with someone else so you can try 2 flavours ;)

Best matcha ice-cream in London! Good and strong matcha taste, not overly sweet.

They have other flavours which include vanilla, charcoal coconut and an occasional special (taro, this week) - which is worth checking out.

A loyalty card is available and if you go frequent enough, you'll get your 9th ice-cream free pretty quickly.

The ice-cream is available in cone or cup, comes in mixed flavours and have a choice of creative sundaes with an array of topping ingredients (extra £0.50).

The place is small and most customers take it away but there are seats akin to low benches. Not the most glamorous but perfectly good for an ice-cream pit stop.

It is hard to choose something else to try because the matcha is my favourite!

With the sun blazing on london like theres no tomorrow this particular stop off was bound to happen.

I came in need of a cooling delicacy and there were some great choices. Sadly with all the exciting components my ice cream still fell a little flat.

All together the combination was a little dull. Nothing stood out not the honey comb dust nor the ice cream itself... I should've gone for the charcoal one maybe that would've been more exciting on the tastebuds.

So overall not bad but nothing I would run home and write to daily mail about.

I visited Soft Serve Society's pop-up at Spitalfields; Soft Republick. It was a really fun pop-up shop with some interesting dessert creations. The ice-cream was just one flavour of soft serve (in my case vanilla but I think the flavour may have changed each week) but it was the style in which you received it which was the most fun. Burger style black choux buns, hot dog style choux buns, cones, tubs and even coffee, was just your first choice to be made. Then there were the seventy bazillion types of topping which ranged from chocolate pearls, to gummy sweets to pickled onion monster munch. Finally, a selection of sauces to choose from and you really weren't quite sure what you were going to be presented with at the end.

I was delighted! My first ever ice cream hot dog and I still remember it fondly. What a way to celebrate the summer! Hope it returns again next year but there's always the regular shop at boxpark in the meantime.

After being almost spammed with shots of this ice cream in every social media outlet I am on, I knew I had to have a taste. Beautiful looking ice cream but my worry was – will it taste as good as it looks?

So after work I headed over to box park with high expectations, and boy was I impressed. I got the “Where’s my Honey” – which is vanilla ice cream with a huge chunk of honeycomb and bits of granola. I wanted to avoid the candy floss this time around as I was scared it may get blown away if I’m honest. Overall super impressed and cannot wait to try some of the other flavors. Definitely in my top 3 ice cream joints in London.

Soft Serve Society is the place where all your Matcha dreams can come true all at once. Matcha is served in various different ways. Such as an iced latte, a scoop in a cone, a sundae, a freakshake. While it doesn't stop there. You can cover your dessert with plenty of toppings. If Matcha isn't your thing you can try the Taro, Vanilla or Charcoal flavours of ice cream.

Soft Serve Society is probably my favourite dessert place in all of London. Yes, I went that far. Their staple Matcha soft serve is to die for, a creamy yet slightly bitter after taste has you wishing you could take tubs of it home. Their freakshakes are phenomenal and can't be approached solo (unless you want a day long stomach ache, trust me I've been there), but their willingness to mix and match toppings mean you can have something different every time you go. Their coffee and ice-tea options have me drooling as I type this.

Don't forget to get a stamp card, because once you have a taste you're guaranteed to come back.

Why did I not discover this pop up earlier?!! Soft serve (think Mr Whippy) is set to be the next big thing in the desserts scene and this place is a real gem. I was informed it is currently running until May at the moment. Soft serve can be currently found on some of the dessert menus in some well known restaurants but this is place that on the whole is dedicated to the soft serve stuff and I would say I'm generally impressed. Plus it's higher in protein and low in fat so that's surely got to be a bonus right?! Ok it's a small space so there really aren't a lot of places to sit down here however there are lots of seating in the box park communal tables upstairs. The selection is well thought out and pretty good, there is a huge selection of toppings you can choose from and the creations are certainly worthy of an instagram pic or two. Particular sundae stand outs and most popular appear to be the Cloud Nine with an afro of pink candy floss, pocky sticks and popping candy and Matcha Madness. I like the tea selection too and enjoyed the hot plum tea a lot. They also do freak shakes too that look incredible if you can stomach it. Be prepared for a serious sugar rush!

Shoreditch finally got a share of the matcha bars that's been storming up West End with Soft Serve Society popping up in Boxpark. The matcha soft serve is served in cups and cones and can be topped with various toppings from their topping bar. Lovely place for a sweet break.
