This small funk and soul specialist is just around the corner from East Putney tube station. Leaning towards CDs rather than vinyl, the stock is comprehensive when it comes to funk, soul and especially blues, and the staff are helpful and passionate about the sounds they sell. In fact, Soul Brother is worth taking the District Line for – no small recommendation, as anyone knows who’s ever sung the ‘Changing at Earl’s Court Blues’.

Soul Survivors! Not many record shops left and especially in South West London. These guys specialise in Soul and Jazz but can get you pretty much anything you want in other styles... but the Soul, Jazz, Disco selections are fantastic and they know what they're talking about !
