Sounds That Swing

A-rockin’ and a-rollin’ just off Camden High Street, Sounds That Swing specialise in rockabilly and blues records – you’ll spot Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison staring from the racks as soon as you enter the shop. There are CDs here, but a quick glance will tell you that the owner is a vinyl enthusiast. Tucked away behind the rock ’n’ roll, there’s also a good collection of female-fronted soul and R&B.

What's not to like? Pleasant helpful Staff in a great little shop packed with all the sounds I could want.

Hanna C

The guys that run it are passionate about Rockabilly and its a camden staple.

Andrew C

Since opening, their unique selection of music in stock seems to magically match the roots & veins of old style R'n'R of my own tastes, which are pretty hard to please I can promise you. They also keep the old helpful tradition of ordering your music needs efficiently.

Always loved SOUNDS THAT SWING, right from it's original Camden address to it's current home - Brilliant music, and enthusiastic owners / staff that really know their stuff.

Daniel S

The only place to find truly original and rare 45s & LPs from the 50/60s in London. Definitely up there with my favourite places by look for records and hang out.

Cinnamon D

One of the best music shops I've ever known, I can spend the whole day there!
Absolutely recommended

Staff that genuinely love the music.
A great selection of records and guaranteed hot sounds playing at all times.
Cool personified!

So different to any of the other surviving record shops. This place goes deep into the fifties/sixties based club scenes that have shaped a large part of London's underground for many a year.

Tapio V

The best record shop in London! Great selection of rare original rock'n roll, R&B, rockabilly, surf, beat 45s & LPs from 40's to 60's, lots of modern bands & reissues too and real knowledgeable & nice guys working in the shop.

Tasha L

Great selection of everything rockin'. Lovely helpful staff, who have exceptional knowledge of Rock n roll, Rockabilly, Blues, Western Swing, Hillbilly etc etc !!! A must to visit if you love your vinyl (CD's too)

Joe P

Brilliant selection of music and knowledgable friendly staff. A gem of a record shop.

Bethany C

Amazing shop. Mostly because there's not many like this one left. If I need some last minute tunes! I know where to go!

Martin H

Simply THE best record shop there is. You want real music? Go to Sounds That Swing. The stock is wide and eclectic. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Find the music you can not find anywhere else.
