Squint’s products – easily recognisable by the colourful and distinctive patchwork designs – are now stocked in Harrods, Liberty, the Conran Shop and the Designers Guild, but this is its only stand-alone shop and showroom, where you can see a selection of its bespoke and the bestselling ‘ready to go’ Chesterfield sofas (from £4,500), iconic Egg chairs and other upholstered furniture. The beautiful coverings – made up of both contemporary and vintage textiles – cover the items completely, including chair legs and even entire chests of drawers, and all of the pieces are handmade in England. In addition to furniture, a small range of mirrors and lighting products are sold in the stylish space. The Shoreditch Collection launched in May 2010 features a range of contemporary shapes inspired by designs from the ’50s and ’60s.
