The 5 O'Clock Tea Club

If the Jubilee footfall on Oxford Street leaves you desperate for a civilised sit down, John Lewis’s Oxford Street store may have the solution. Its new 5 O’Clock Tea Club offers a little haven of tranquility from 5-6.30pm every day, when afternoon tea will be served on pretty crockery together with the Queen’s favourite tipple, Dubonnet. It sounds to us like a very lovely way to avoid fighting for pavement space or battling to get on the Tube. Also occuring at John Lewis Stratford City and Peter Jones in Sloane Square.
