Thanks to a fruitful Kickstarter campaign, The Peanut Vendor managed to upscale from a charming furniture shop in Stoke Newington to this showroom and cafe on the edge of Victoria Park and the canal. Here you'll find luxuriously stylish midcentury furniture that is priced like much of the rest of it around the city – highly. But you get quality stuff for your money, and anyone who knows their midcentury items insideout will have a field day. Pieces on offer range from telephone seats and dining chairs to tube lights, textiles and tiny things such as hand-whittled spoons.
As well as a discerning selection of homeware, in their coffeeshop TPV sell a rotating variety of beans by the likes of Alchemy, The Barn and Sundlaug, amongst others, while teas come courtesy of Good and Proper Tea. Pastries and bread is supplied by local producers Yeast and Bried, cakes are by Victoria Yum and lunch options are also on offer.
